Ice Cream Corner Thursday - Fun Kid Friendly Cards

 

For this fun card, I arranged the sprinkles and polka dot DSP with a 1/4" strip to So Saffron cardstock onto my white card base. I then cut out some cute ice cream scoops and a cone out of the designer series papers. Then I assembled my ice cream cone. If fussy cutting is not your thing, there's a punch available to make it easier to cut out the cones and scoops consistently each time. I'll have it listed in the supplies below.

Ice Cream Corner Wednesday - Fun Kid Friendly Cards

 

Playing with asymmetry for this card. The coordinating DSP makes all the pieces blend together very well. I did choose to emboss the sentiment and double up on the cardstock for the sentiment to give it more dimension on the card.

Ice Cream Corner Tuesday - Fun Kid Friendly Cards

 

Today's sweet treat is a simple card using just the designer paper. Add a little texture with the subtle 3D embossing folder and some embossing powder to the sentiment. I upcycled a paper string (like the kind found on paper bag handles) to add some interest.  Now, it's ready for nice note of appreciation to someone who brightened your day!

Ice Cream Corner Monday - Fun Kid Friendly Cards

Today, I had a delicious Haagen-Daaz ice cream for dessert (Vanilla Blackberry Chocolate TRIO CRISPY LAYERS). Love the combo of flavors and ingredients. Speaking of combo, the Stampin' UP! Ice Cream Collection has fun bright colors combos and cute kid friendly stamps.  I made some cards and will post one a day this week for you to get inspiration.

This card is a great exercise on paper cutting! Tip: use smaller fine tipped scissors to navigate through the curves and turns of the ice creams that are cut out.  I also used the Subtle 3D embossing folder to add texture to the card. Some of the ice cream cones are raised with dimensional adhesives and I also used clear embossing powder to add shine to the sentiment. It's was a fun treat for me to make.
