I don't know what it is about chickens, but I find them so cute! We have several friends who have chickens that lay eggs and we just love visiting them and playing with them. Recently, even my daughter made an adorable paper mache chicken in her art class.
So, when Stampin' Up! released their Hey Chick and Hey Birthday Chick Stamp and Die sets, well, what I can say except that I ended up with a set of stamps and dies.
So, here are some cards made by the design team at Stampin' Up! I haven't had a chance to play with my set yet. Still having fun with the free Berry Blessings stamp set and designer series paper!
We had our first Sweet Strawberry & Berry Blessing Card making session yesterday. It was a nice time to connect and practice our stamping skills with both the Stamparatus stamp positioning tool and stamping blocks. I was using a thin (1 cm) acrylic block from years past and it slipped out of my fingers and marked my stamped image. Arghhh.. that's when I realized how much I would appreciate a thicker block with gripping groves like this one that Stampin' Up! offers. I did redo using my Stamparatus and managed to get this card together. The paper background and the stamped raspberries are from the free Berry Blessings SALE-a-bration free gifts promotion that is ending on February 28, 2021. If you would like to get materials to make this card, contact me. More details can be found in this post: Sale-a-bration details.
If you'd like to join the next session, check the events calendar in the menu bar for our next making session.
